Emmanuel Macron, currently serving as the President of France, was elected on May 7, 2017, prior to which he had never held elected office. He claimed his aim is to unite the French people, rather than bringing them to the right or the left. Here are some really interesting things to know about the President:

Macron, at the age of 39, became the youngest president in the history of French Presidential Election, with his win against Marine Le Pen of the National Front.
He ran the 2017 Presidential Election, as a centrist, under the banner of La République En Marche !, often called as En Marche !, founded by him on April 6, 2016, as a progressive movement, uniting both the left and the right unit of politics.
Marcon is the youngest French head of state since the period of Napoleon, as well as the first President of France born after the establishment of the Fifth Republic in 1958.
Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron was born on December 21, 1977 in Amiens, France, to Jean-Michel Macron, a professor of neurology and Françoise (née Noguès), a physician.
He was raised in a non-religious family, and was baptized at his own request at the age of 12. He has two siblings Laurent born in 1979 and Estelle born in 1982.
Macron resigned from the post of Economy Minister on August 30, 2016, before the 2017 Presidential election, to devote himself to his new political party En Marche !.
Macron was educated at the Jesuit Lycée la Providence in Amiens before he was sent to finish his last year of school at the elite Lycée Henri-IV in Paris.
Prime Minister Manuel Valls, on February 2015, pushed Macron's signature law package the "Macron Law," through a reluctant parliament using the special 49.3 procedure. The said law is estimated to generate a "0.3% increase in GDP over five-years and a 0.4% increase over 10-years.
He has a passion for piano and has studied piano for nearly 10 years in his youth. His other hobbies include skis, tennis and boxing.
He was sent to Paris, as his parents learned about the bond he had Brigitte Auzière, a married teacher with three children at Jésuites de la Providence. Though initially separated by his parents, they were united again after his graduation.

Macron married Brigitte Trogneux in the year 2007, who is actually 24 years his senior. Through this marriage, he claims seven grandchildren through Brigitte’s three children from first marriage.

His campaign for the Presidency Election was headed by French economist Sophie Ferracci. It was announced in December 2016 that the campaign had raised 3.7 million euros in donations without public funding, which is three times the budget of then-front runner Alain Juppé.

He was offered the position of managing director for Mouvement des Entreprises de France, one of the largest employer federation in France, by Laurence Parisot in the year 2006, but he declined the offer.

In the year 2008, he started his career as an investment banker in a highly-paid position at Rothschild & Cie Banque. After two years, he became a member of the Attali Commission.
He is said to advocate for national health insurance covering optics, hearing and dentalcare, which would more likely cost the government €4.4 billion a year.
