Mike Myers, famous for bringing life to many memorable characters through his run as a performer in six seasons of the "Saturday Night Live," is known to frequently appear wearing his underpants in movies. He has over 29 wins and 43 nominations to his name. Here are some really interesting facts to know about the Canadian actor:

  1.  He was honored with a star on the Canadian Walk of Fame in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on June 25, 2003.
  2.  The last letter written by the legend George Harrison, singer of Beatles, was addressed to him, which he received shortly after Harrison's death. Harrison has complimented him for his Austin Powers movies, and has asked him for a Mini Me doll. He till date has the letter framed and claims it to be one of the most incredible things that have ever happened to him.
  3.  His performance as Dr. Evil in the "Austin Powers" movies is ranked #35 on Premiere Magazine's 100 Greatest Movie Characters of All Time.

  25.  According to director Penelope Spheeris, working with Myers has been quiet difficult, as she cited a incident, where he became enraged, flipping the table over, storming off the set, just because the snack table had only butter and not margarine for his bagel. He reportedly did not come out of his trailer for hours.
  26.  Director Spheeris is said to have declined to direct the sequel "Wayne's World 2," stating that she couldn't deal with him again. However, there are rumors that following an argument over the final cut of the original movie, he had her blocked from directing the sequel.
  27.  In the late 1990s, following the success of Austin Powers, he earned a $40 million deal to star in 2 films for Universal, with the first being Sprockets for which he had already written the script. However, he was sued by the company in June 2000, for backing out of his contract, to which he was quoted saying that he would refuse to honor the $20 million contract instead of "cheating moviegoers with an unacceptable script."
  28.  He started dating actress Robin Ruzan in the late 1980s, and married her on May 22, 1993. He refers to Ruzan as "his muse," though they divorced in 2006.
