Julia Roberts is an Academy Award-winning actress and one of the top box-office earners in Hollywood, known for such films as Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman and Erin Brockovich.

  1. Julia Roberts was born on October 28, 1967, in Smyrna, Georgia.

  2. Her parents were both actors who ran a workshop for aspiring writers and performers until their divorce in 1971.

  3. She has two older siblings.

  4. She has English, German, Swedish, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh ancestry.

  5. Played clarinet in her school band.

  6. She attended Griffin Middle School and then Campbell High School.
