Police officer identified after being shot at gas station

TUCKER, Ga. (AP) — Police have released the identity of the police officer who was shot and wounded at a gas station in suburban Atlanta.

DeKalb County Police Capt. Stephen Fore said Saturday that 47-year-old Marco Vizcarrando was shot in the upper left shoulder in a shootout with two suspects. The 19-year veteran officer was treated and released from Grady Hospital late Friday.
