Tivoli Gardens is a famous amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. The park opened on August 15, 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park in the world, after Dyrehavsbakken in nearby Klampenborg. t: Tivoli Gardens boasts one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the world that is still in operation. Called "Rutsjebanen", the wooden coaster was built in Malmö almost a hundred years ago - in 1914. Other highlights among the many rides are a modern zero-G coaster, a flight simulator named Vertigo, and Himmelskibet, the world's tallest carousel.
