At last month’s VMAs, the world witnessed an admittedly high Kanye West ramble through an impassioned, splendidly stream-of-consciousness acceptance speech before the musician/entrepreneur/fashion designer multi-hyphenate dropped the K-Bomb: “I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”

He doubled down on the announcement in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, confirming he’s “definitely” gunning for the Oval Office in 2020, and confessing, “I sit in clubs and I’m like, Wow, I’ve got five years before I go and run for office and I’ve got a lot of research to do, I’ve got a lot of growing up to do.”
