Sandra Bullock Has George Clooney to Thank for a Four-Year Past Relationship - Vanity Fair

It’s hard to think of a celebrity pair that seems like it’d be more fun to share a bottle of wine with on an outdoor patio somewhere than Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. The longtime friends (and Gravity co-stars) are continually ribbing each other (but in the most lighthearted, sibling-y way) and, it’s clear, have an underlying deep affection for one another. And the two are teaming up again this year on the film Our Brand Is Crisis—which is not a movie about your frenemy’s Twitter schtick but instead a film about a political strategist—which was initially going to star Clooney, until the gender of the part was switched when Bullock came on board to play the role (Clooney is a producer on the film).

At the Los Angeles premiere of the film earlier this week, Bullock shared a vintage Clooney-Bullock tale, the sort you might be expecting at a mid-second-glass point in the aforementioned dream bottle-of-wine night with the duo.
