British born actress Kate Winslet made her big break on "Titanic" and has since gone on to become an Oscar-winning actress. Here are 50 interesting things about this starlet.

  1. Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born October 5, 1975, in Reading, England.

  2. She has two sisters, Anna Winslet and Beth Winslet (both actresses), and a brother, Joss.

  3. Acting is literally in her blood. Both her parents, Roger Winslet and Sally Bridges-Winslet, are actors and she is the granddaughter of two theater managers (her maternal grandparents founded Reading Repertory Theatre).

  4. Her first entry point into the acting world came in the form of a commercial for Sugar Puffs , a children's cereal at the age of 11.
