Do you wish to make money on YouTube? Have you given the idea a thought but can't seem to understand how to go about it?

Don't worry your mind too much, making money on YouTube is not rocket science. If it was, maybe guys like Vlad and Niki, PewDiePie, and FGTeeV wouldn't be making so much money off the platform.

In fact, many of those YouTube big boys make their money not through affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, or influencer marketing, but through YouTube itself, that is, YouTube itself pays them!

So if they could do it, what's to stop you from reaching similar heights?

Absolutely nothing!

So if you share such sentiments, join me on a flight to discover the "HOWs" of making money on YouTube.

What do you need before YouTube starts paying you?

To start making money on YouTube, all you need are "SUBSCRIBERS!" Not viewers, not likes, not comments, but subscribers.

Just like every other business, YouTube is still in the hunt for more users, and as a result of that, the platform pays anyone who brings more users to their site through what they call the "YouTube Partner Program."

The idea is that once you're able to convert regular visitors (viewers) into subscribers, you've added to their growing list of global users, and for that, you deserve to be rewarded.

But how many subscribers exactly do you need to have before you can qualify for this partner program?

Let's find out!

What is the YouTube Partner Program?

The YouTube Partner Program is a digital monetization scheme designed by YouTube to reward the contributions of creators to the growth of the platform. Creators make money via this scheme when people view their videos through advertisements.

Since Google owns YouTube, the program uses Google AdSense to display ads of your choosing. With the YouTube Partner

Program, you are given the freedom to choose what kind of ads and videos you want and don't want to use to monetize your content. Your options for ads include commercials that play before your video, a banner underneath your video, or an ad above suggested videos on the right.

When a viewer watches or clicks on a commercial or ad, you receive a small commission. This could be a few cents to a couple of dollars per view or click. The amount of money you receive depends on several factors, including the advertiser's bid, the type of content being shown, and the length of your video.

The YouTube Partner Program requires you to apply to monetize your YouTube channel. But once you are accepted, you will be able to start converting your viewers and subscribers into an income!

What are the requirements?

YouTube has recently announced several new eligibility requirements for joining their Partner Program in order to avoid spammers, impersonators, and others with bad intentions from detracting from channels with quality content.

To be eligible for the YouTube Partner Program, your channel must have:

  • Have at least 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months

  • Have at least 1,000 subscribers

Once your account meets these requirements, you can begin the application process, which involves agreeing to their terms and conditions, signing up for Google AdSense, and setting your monetization preferences.

To get the most out of your ad revenue, you want to have a high viewer engagement rate. The more viewers you have interacting with your ads, the more money you will make. This is why many of those guys who have made millions partnering with YouTube often advise up-and-coming channel owners to "buy the metrics" to boost engagements on their channels.

By the term "buy the metrics," what they mean is that you shouldn't hesitate to buy views, likes, comments, or shares for your content so that they can reach a larger audience and ultimately help you make more money.

But be careful not to buy likes or views from dubious plugs because there are lots of them out there, selling "bot views and bot likes" instead of real, human metrics.

For starters, you can always buy from Stormviews, as they are the best site to buy YouTube likes, views, and other important metrics.

Remember, while you can't control how enticing each displayed ad is to your viewers, you can control how many people get to view them. Therefore, strive to make sure that as many people as possible see your content.
