Iggy Azalea's real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly.
She was born on June 7, 1990 in Sydney, Australia.
Her father was a painter and comics artist, while her mother cleaned holiday houses and hotels.
She thanks her dad for constantly inspiring her. Azalea says her father "made her look at art as a teenager", which has always influenced her life and work.

She took her stage name from the name of her childhood dog, Iggy, and the street she grew up on, Azalea Street.
