  1.  On February 10, 2018, his albums "Traveller," "From A Room: Volume 1," and "From A Room: Volume 2," held the top-three spots on Top Country Albums, making Chris – the third artist to have achieved the feat, following Charlie Rich in 1974, and Garth Brooks in 1992.
  2.  In March 2018, "Broken Halos" from "From A Room: Volume 1" reached the top of the Country Airplay chart, earning him the accolades for Song and Single of the Year as well as the Male Vocalist of the Year.

  13.  He became the frontman for the bluegrass group the SteelDrivers in 2007. The group had two hit records, both of which peaked at #2 on the bluegrass chart. He left the group in 2010.
  14.  He founded the Jompson Brothers, a Southern rock band, with Stapleton on vocals, Greg McKee on guitar, J.T. Cure on bass, Bard McNamee on drums, in the year 2010.
