Aaron Taylor-Johnson, one of the most charming men in Hollywood, has been in the limelight for more than a decade. With his terrific performances, he very quickly made his way in the hearts of people all over the world. In fact, literally every other individual shed tears when his character of Quicksilver died in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” But, despite all this, there isn’t much about him that fans are aware of.   1.  He was cast in the role of Ray Marcus in the movie “Nocturnal Animals” by director Tom Ford himself, after having dinner with Aaron and his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson, who was Ford’s longtime friend.
  2.  Aaron felt he was not at all suitable for the part, but over the course of dinner, Ford became confident that he was the perfect choice, as he found his facial expressions while recounting a story to be intriguing.
  3.  It took director Joss Whedon of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” nearly a year to convince Aaron, to accept the role of Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver, as he was too concerned about the intensity of the Marvel contracts as well as the time constraints.
  4.  Even though, he accepted the offer after such a long time, he still felt really nervous and was only comfortable when he learned that Elizabeth Olsen will be playing his sister, and will be his filming partner for most of his scenes.
  5.  In fact, it was reported that both the actors consulted each other before signing on for their respective roles. Just as they got to know both the actors has been offered, they contacted each other to know if the other was going to do it or not, before signing it.
  6.  Before “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Olsen and Taylor-Johnson played husband and wife previously in the movie “Godzilla” and became close friends over the period of production of the movie.
  7.  He and Olsen were reported to be the first choice of director Gareth Edwards for the roles Ford Brody and Elle Brody, respectively in the movie “Godzilla.”

  13.  He went to the Jackie Palmer Stage School in High Wycombe, to study drama, tap, jazz, acrobatics and singing, between the year 1996 and 2008.
  14.  For his role as Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” he was asked to lose weight, particularly the muscle mass that he had, as he looked too strong to portray the character of runner.

  16.  Aaron has signed on to star in the West End production of the play “The Pillowman” by Martin McDonaugh, at the Duke of York’s Theatre, scheduled to take place in 2021.
  17.  He and his co-star Sean Bean from his debut movie “Tom & Thomas,” have both played the role of Count Vronsky in “Anna Karenina,” in their respective movies.

  23.  In the year 2015, Aaron Taylor-Johnson was named as one among the “50 Best Dressed British Men” in the world, by GQ magazine.
  24.  He and his co-star from “Kick-Ass” Evan Peters have both played the same superhero character of Quicksilver in their respective movies from different franchises. In fact, Peters has kind of taken over Aaron in the Marvel Universe.
  25.  While Aaron was the Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Peters portrayed Peter Maximoff / Quicksilver in the X-Men franchise. But, in the new “WandaVision” from MCU, Peters portrays the character of Aaron.
  26.  During the filming of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” his co-star James Spader had to wear antenna-like contraption, with two red balls attached to the top, around three feet above his head. This for actually a reference point of where his eyes would be, as his character Ultron would be nine feet tall. Aaron’s co-star and close friend Elizabeth Olsen would often get distracted and would not look at the red balls, but focus on Spader himself. Amusing everyone present, Aaron would immediately yell “Red balls! Look at his balls, Lizzie!” in an effort to get her to focus correctly.
  27.  In preparation of his role as Ford Brody in the movie “Godzilla,” he was put through a "mini boot camp" by Retired Marine Sergeant Major James D. Dever, who was one of the film's military technical advisers.
  28.  He met director Sam Taylor-Wood for the first time, on the sets of his 2009 movie “Nowhere Boy.” During the shooting of the movie, the couple fell in love and started dating, despite their 23 years age difference.
  29.  After 4 years of dating, the duo got married on June 21, 2012 at Babington House, Somerset, England, and officially changed their surnames to Taylor-Johnson.
  30.  Aaron and Sam have two daughters - Wylda Rae Johnson born on July 7, 2010 and Romy Hero Johnson on January 18, 2012. He also has two step-daughters from Sam Taylor-Johnson’s first marriage, named - Angelica Jopling and Phoenix Jopling.
  31.  His Golden Globe win for his role as Ray Marcus in “Nocturnal animals” marked the first time in over 40 years that a Golden Globe winner in the Best Supporting Actor category did not manage to secure an Academy Award nomination.
