Cameron Diaz is a former model turned actress known for her comedic roles and girl-next-door charisma.

  1. Cameron Diaz was born in 1972 in San Diego.

  2. Her mother, Billie (Early), has English, Scots-Irish, and German ancestry, and her father, Emilio Diaz, was from a Cuban family (of Spanish origin). Her mother worked as an import-export agent, and her father was a field gauger for an oil company.

  3. Diaz is proud of her Latin roots and claims she brings that part of her to every role she plays. She admits, however, that her blonde hair and blue eyes tend to make people question her Latin heritage.
