Beware! Yellowstone Volcano Recorded Twice Magma As Before

There have been many reports about the Yellowstone Volcano and people are scared that the volcano might erupt anytime soon. With the number of earthquakes that were recorded in the past months starting 2020, a nearby resident would feel terrified if it leads to the volcano erupting.

The Yellowstone caldera is very wide and covers a huge part of the region underneath the Earth's surface. Particularly, it lies beneath the states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. The volcano is considered to be a supervolcano not because of the number of time it has erupted, but because once the volcano erupts, it will surely cause a disruptive madness on a global scale.

According to USGS

The volcano's activity is currently monitored by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and they have been monitoring the volcano's activities for signs of a possible super eruption. Although the USGS and Yellowstone authorities have told the public that the earthquakes that have been happening in the last couple of months are not related to the Yellowstone volcano, people are still getting frightened about the possibility that the supervolcano will erupt in the future.

The Yellowstone volcano has only erupted three times in history. The first one was 2.1 million years ago, the second one was recorded 1.3 million years ago, and the third and most recent one was 640,000 years ago. This has made experts and scientists claim that a huge eruption is already overdue.

In a study conducted by a group of researchers from the University of Utah, which was led by Jamie Farrell in 2013, they found out that the magma chamber underneath Yellowstone was way bigger than they expected. The chamber measured 18 miles wide and nine miles deep.

According to Dr. Farrell, he said that there is a huge volcanic material below Yellowstone's surface that matches the largest supervolcano's three eruptions recorded in history.

A group of researchers who were also behind the YouTube channel titled "Science Time" also made a video regarding the supereruption that might happen in the future, and they predict that it is massive just like the first three recorded eruptions in the last 2.1 million years. They also revealed some of the horrifying realities that might happen.

What will happen if the Yellowstone volcano erupts?

Earlier this month, a video spiraled online that reveals if the Yellowstone supervolcano will erupt tomorrow or anytime soon, it will release more than two billion tonnes of sulfur into the Earth's atmosphere and about more than a thousand cubic kilometers of volcanic ash and rocks into the sky.

It will also be possible that the whole parts of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana will also be covered and buried in volcanic ash.

Aside from thousands of lives will be at risk if ever the supervolcano will erupt, it will also start a new era where thousands of refugees will make new history.

There will also be a decrease in global temperatures because of the volcanic and sulfuric droplets that conceal the Sun, and there will be a decade of volcanic winter in the whole area.

With that, the economy will also go down because crops and agriculture will be wiped out, resulting in hunger to almost billions of families.
